3rd Annual Book Signing & Poetry Slam Event, Dreams Made Real, at .ZACK
St. Louis, Missouri, March 08, 2020 — The Dream Team is set to release their 3rd book publication DREAMS MADE REAL. The students’ participated in Dream Builders 4 Equity Real Estate program and detailed their experience presented in book format. The young authors will be launching the sale of their book at this memorable book signing event held at .Zack.
Dream Builders 4 Equity & YourWords STL are proud to present the third annual Dreams Made Real: Book Signing & Poetry Slam on March 8, 2020 at .ZACK ballroom & theater from 3pm to 6pm.
Dream Builders 4 Equity hosted their Summer Academy 2019, where youth participants rehabbed a home in the 63113 zip code, participated in life and job skills courses, and wrote about their experiences. During Week 7, YourWords STL hosted three days of creative writing workshops, during which the young people transformed books into original works of art, wrote and discussed poetry and worked with tutors to create ready-to-publish pieces. For their last day together, the young people presented their hard work during an “in-house” poetry slam and art exhibit. The youth published an inspiring book titled “Dreams Made Real” detailing their journey.
Dream Builders 4 Equity & YourWords STL with the help of Young Griot Society will host a poetry slam featuring young artists from DB4E Summer Academy 2019, followed by a Q&A session.
After the poetry slam, the Dreams Made Real book authors will launch the sale of their book & host their 3rd annual book signing in the .ZACK ballroom. In Dreams Made Real, the young authors describe their experiences, how the program has benefited their present lives, how it will assist them in the future, and how they plan to continue to provide support to underserved communities. The profits earned from the book sales will fund the author’s college tuition and other educational expenses.
