Dreams on the Runway: Community, Creativity, and Collaboration

For this year's book signing, we chose fashion as our featured art form. And to bring this vision to life, we knew we had to collaborate with one of the best in the industry.

We partnered with AK Brown, the Fashion Connector, and the creative talent at Siba, proving that collaboration—not working in silos—is the key to creating the greatest impact. In just 2-3 weeks, we delivered one of the most unforgettable fashion shows of 2025!

Our headquarters transformed into a runway where creativity took center stage. The designs crafted by our talented youth and House of Vision vendors came to life with the help of talented local models, DB4E students, alumni, and staff. And it didn't stop there! A band performed, taking the vibes to another level, and our very own alum, Maddie Bucks, delivered a performance that had the crowd on their feet.

This event was a celebration of Black creativity, local businesses, and the power of community coming together.

This experience was transformative—not just for our students but for Siba's students and the entire community. To everyone who made this possible—thank you for helping us kick off an unforgettable year!
