Build it.
Working alongside minority contractors, our students rehabilitate vacant North City properties that are sold to first-time homeowners. Students are employed at $10-$15/hour and receive a percentage of the property sales in scholarship funds.
Own It.
Dream Builders 4 Equity’s youth participate in an 8-week long program held at St. Louis University, providing them with personal and professional development training, employment, ongoing mentorship, and ownership in the real estate and book publishing programs.
Earn it.
Youth participants journal about their experiences throughout the Summer Academy program. Their writing is then published and they received 100% of the book sale profits.
Strategize It.
The Black Squares Chess Program is committed to increasing access to the chess world for Black youth in North City and developing Black chess culture within the sport.
See what we are building.
Our Five-Year Plan
We envision a world in which all communities have
the courage to dream, the skills to build,
and the resources to own their future.
