Every young person from the urban core will build the social and financial equity fundamental for attaining an excellent education and emerging as a change agent who leads their community towards a brighter future.



Neal Richardson is a product of the Fountain Park neighborhood located in the City of St. Louis. Neal earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Webster University. Neal has over 10 years of experience in the real estate finance industry.

In his current role as Project Manager at U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation, Neal has led the closing of over $150 million in tax credit financing investments targeted for low-income communities. His passion for improving the opportunities available to underprivileged youth and building stronger communities, coupled with his expertise in real estate finance, has motivated him to co-found Dream Builders 4 Equity.

Dream Builders is a nonprofit organization that aims to build social equity through financial equity. Involved in the broader issues of youth development and social justice, Neal is a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis – Friends Group, City Gardens – Anti-Bias/Anti-Racism Committee, and a mentor at inspireSTL.



Michael Woods is a resident of north St. Louis City. He is the owner of Forward Progress Personal Training. Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lindenwood University. Michael credits his father Virgle Woods with giving him his entrepreneurial spirit. Michael works alongside his father managing multiple auto body shops and rental properties. Michael mentors
with inspireSTL, a local educational access and leadership development program, which has ignited his desire to serve.

Michael is the Author of “I Will Never Kill a Black Man,” a book of poetry that he self published in 2013. In 2014, Michael self published his second book titled “Which is Best Test,” a children’s workbook designed to create an environment of wise decision making. In 2016 Michael convened some of St. Louis’ most artistic millennials to create his third book “Voices”. This collection is the manifestation of a vision to harness the power of uniting the voices of those who represent the often unheard and devalued.

Michael is Co-Founder of Dream Builders 4 Equity. Dream Builders 4 Equity aim to build social equity through financial equity. Michael’s passion is unifying all communities towards creating a better future that is informed by the hopes and needs of those who are often forgotten.
